E B O O K S - F.A.Q. Do you have questions about eBooks, how they work, and how to order them? Here are the answers to your questions! What is an eBook? "eBook" is a shorthand way of saying electronic book. An electronic book is a publication that does not exist on paper but instead it is in an electronic format. Our eBooks are PDF files, which can be read by Adobe Acrobat Reader which comes pre-installed on most computers. If not it can be downloaded free from adobe.com. What are the advantages of eBooks over regular books? The production and distribution costs of eBooks are less because paper is not involved. This, in turn, makes the cost to the consumer less. Typically, eBooks are distributed via the Internet by downloading them to the consumer's personal computer. Are there any disadvantages of eBooks in comparison to regular books? Some people do not like to read text on a computer screen for any length of time. We address this complaint by allowing our eBooks to be printed to paper. How Do I Read an eBook? You can get free software from Adobe.com to read a PDF file. There are also many other software packages that let you read PDF files with a variety of options. Many of the software packages are free. How Do I Buy an eBook? To buy an ebook simply go to the page describing the eBook you are interested in. At the bottom of the page is a BUY button. Payment processing is handled by PayPal. You can pay from your PayPal account if you have one, or by credit card or debit card if you prefer. How Do I Pay For my eBook?
